The first one
Welcome to CORNER, a journal by Clara Lee and Eddo Kim. We run Queens, which is definitely a deli-grocery store and always has been. It now houses a rather unexpected day cafe full of quirky, nostalgic, delightfully comfortable food that we too eat ourselves, all the time. We make sauces and ferments and things for the pantry that we want in our pantry. And bring in ingredients and provisions and things for the house that we would want and occasionally do bring back to our house. It’s all very self-regarding.
But kind of amazing because a lot of our work is simply the ability to share with others and let them know how psyched we are about something we tried, or smelled, or heard, or played around with. Much of Corner will be about these kinds of R+D moments, recipes, and behind the scenes things.
